Boring Fridays

About

Meet Mike

Mike runs Boring Fridays, a conservative weekly index options credit spread strategy. He specializes in selling credit spreads with short strikes positioned far away from the current underlying price, so as long as the index does not move above his short strike on calls, or below his short strike on puts, by expiration, the position expires worthless and he keeps the full credit collected at entry. If all goes well, the position expires worthless on a very uneventful expiration Friday. For Mike, Boring Fridays are a good thing. He has adjusted the strategy to handle volatile market conditions, so not all trades will expire on Fridays. The conservative approach lets him pick and choose when to put on risk, typically one trade every two weeks, or two trades each month.
